Brooke Lipton

Brooke Lipton’s energy is contagious. She captivates a room with her unique style and inspires with her bold storylines, bringing a challenging, yet nurturing, experience to dancers, teacher, parents, and observers.
Brooke had an amazingly successful season as Assistant Choreographer for the Emmy Nominated TV hit Glee and with the National Glee Tour. You can see Brooke as a featured dancer in the movie Rock of Ages.
A native of Phoenix, AZ, Brooke Lipton was a rising star in the LA dance scene at the young age of 12. Brooke spent her summers dancing at the LA studios and conventions and was highly sought after by the industry’s top choreographers. After high school, Brooke moved to LA to pursue her dream of being a professional dancer. She has worked with artists such as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Queen Latifah, Pink, Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Khan, and Jewel, to name a few.
Brooke has toured the world with Britney Spears in the Dream Within A Dream Tour and The Onyx Hotel Tour. She has assisted on So You Think You Can Dance and recently worked as the Assistant Choreographer on the Disney Channel movie StarStruck, starring Sterling Knight. Hard at work on season 2, she continues to teach across the US, giving back to the community that has taught her so much about the world of dance.

DJ Guthrie

DJ Guthrie hails from Dallas, Texas and made his way to LA after dancing with the Orlando Ballet for 9 years. Since then DJ has appeared in films such as “High School Musical 3,” “500 Days of Summer,” “Shrek Forever After” and “The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever,” as well as made television performances on “Glee”, “Dancing With The Stars,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Video Game Awards,” “American Idol,” “Bones,” “Better With You,” “The CMA Christmas Show,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The 81st Academy Awards,” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
He has also co-choreographed/danced in commercials and live performances for Ford, McDonald’s, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Memorial Hermann and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. DJ was also a part of the national touring company of CATS. He was recently on tour with Glee Live and was a choreographer for the TV show “Your Chance to Dance” on CMT. Aside from working commercially, he travels with the dance convention LA Dance Magic and teaches master classes for studios and professional companies all over the country. His innovative approach to musicality and movement theory, extensive technical vocabulary and blend of several styles into one has gained him a continually growing following. His classes have been described as not only a physical workout but also a thoroughly mental one as well.

Eddie Moody

Music videos, national commercials, and international tours are just part of Eddie Moody’s exciting and impressive resume. As a member of the boy band, WOW, Eddie toured with Justin Bieber and The Jonas Brothers, and performed alongside Jason Derulo, Ludacris, Katy Perry, Drake, MGK, Twista, B.o.B., T-Pain, Iyaz, and Jay Sean, to name a few. Eddie’s style of dance is fresh and infectious, more reasons why he is quickly becoming known as one of the hottest up-and-comers in the hip hop music industry.

Bobby Amamizu

Bobby Amamizu is a graduate from Orange County High School of the Arts and holds a BFA in Dance Performance from UC Irvine, where he performed classical rep, Balanchine, and Forsythe. Currently he is represented by Movement Talent Agency in Los Angeles as a professional dancer. He has been an assistant to many choreographers including: Monie Adamson, Laurie Johnson, Cory Finn, Tina D’Amato, Joe Loera, Jodie Gates, Tokyo Inouye, and Bonnie Story. Stage credits: Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis (original cast), Industry Dance Awards, Tokyo the Company, Unity LA, Loving The Silent Tears (original musical), International Ballet Festival of Miami, Laguna Dance Festival, National Choreographers Initiative. Film: Fame, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, Dear Dumb Diary. Television: Dancing with the Stars, Miss Universe, Strictly Come Dancing, Fiona Apple music video “Paper Bag,” Jerry Lewis Telethon. Industrials: L’Oreal, Mattel, and Morinda. Competitions and awards: William Gillespie Ballet Scholarship, winner of Tomorrow’s Stars at OCPAC, YAGP (2007 gold medal contemporary category, 2008 silver medal contemporary category, 2008 bronze medal classical category.) He has also judged and taught at conventions/companies/Studios including: Cirque du Soleil, Edge Performing Art Center, The Houston Met (company guest ballet teacher), OCSA, Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre (Company Class), Tremaine Dance Conventions (guest faculty), LA Elite/Elite Dance Conventions (faculty), and West Coast dance Explosions (nationals). He also served as a rehearsal assistant to Jodie Gates to set an original ballet for Kansas City Ballet. He has worked with Vincent Paterson, Bonnie Story, Marguerite Derricks, Michael Rooney, Courtney Miller Jr., Donald McKayle, David Allan, Diane Diefenderfer, El Gabriel, Molly Lynch, Jodie Gates, Jim Kolb, Cindy Peca, Monie Adamson, Quincy Jacinto, Kelley Devine, Joe Tremaine, and Napoleon & Tabitha Dumo.

Michelle Miner

Originally from San Diego, Ca., Michelle grew up training extensively in ballet, tap and jazz. As an adult, Michelle was drawn into the tap world and has been an accomplished tap choreographer for over 18 years. Michelle has trained with such tap masters as Brenda Buffalino, Mike Minery, Sam Weber and the late Gregory Hines.
Her choreography is sought after all over the country and her students can be seen dancing for Fox, Disney, ESPN and in “Dance Teacher” and “Dance Spirit” magazine. She has also trained the 2006 World Dance Champion, who became the youngest ever intern for the NYC Rockettes and her students have danced for such artists as Rhianna and Britney Spears. You can see her choreography on Fox and numerous music videos.
Aside from directing the tap programs for two studios in San Diego, Michelle is also the tap director for the acclaimed “Mather Dance Company” in Orange County (Directed by Shannon Mather). She is also the artistic director of the San Diego Youth Tap Company which brings together dancers from all over southern California. Michelle is proud to be on tour with KAR’s amazing dance convention!
